Additional Info

Terroir Area Information: Terroir: Mingjian, Nantou, Taiwan Plant Information: Cultivar note: Rougui means cinnamon; the cultivar originates in the Wuyi mountains of China and in Taiwan is grown almost exclusively in Mingjian, having reached the island probably only in the 1990s or later. Cultivation Information: Harvest as stated on the page: spring 2012. Additional Information: Processing note: processed very traditionally — classic green leaf with a red edge; infusion colour golden yellow through to orange. Ageing: the traditional processing means the tea can be stored without loss of aroma, and its aroma changes with age.
