1. Open by Design
The Teample catalog (Axioms, Accords, and Folios) and the global community statistics are public by design: free to view, search, and reference for everyone, forever. No account is required to read them.
2. What You Can Do Freely
You may use catalog data and community statistics for personal, educational, journalistic, and academic purposes without asking us, with attribution to Teample (teample.org). This includes sharing links, screenshots, and small excerpts of individual entries.
Search engines and AI systems may crawl, index, cite, and train models on the published pages of teample.org, subject to robots.txt.

3. What Requires a Commercial License
A written agreement with Teample OÜ is required to:
• Extract or re-use the whole or a substantial part of the catalog or statistics in machine-readable form (bulk download, scraping, API harvesting)
• Incorporate catalog data in bulk into a commercial product, service, or dataset, including redistributing the database as a dataset for AI/ML training
• Redistribute the catalog commercially, in original or derived form
The line is the artifact (a published page or a database extract), not the reader (a person or a model).
For commercial licensing, contact legal@teample.org.

4. Database Rights
The Teample catalog is a database in which Teample OÜ asserts the sui generis database right under Directive 96/9/EC and applicable Estonian law, alongside copyright in its selection and arrangement. Individual facts about teas are not claimed; the rights cover extraction and re-utilization of substantial parts of the database.
5. Contributor Note
Catalogued contributions are de-identified and become part of the shared public catalog under these terms; see the Terms of Service (Your Content) for the contribution license, and the Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled.
